Alanya Safari Operators Fined for Unsafe Practices

Alanya authorities have issued fines totalling 70,000 Turkish Lira to seven safari operators. The penalties were imposed after their vehicles were observed transporting passengers standing up or outside the cars on the popular Dimçayı road. This action comes directly after images and videos depicting these dangerous practices circulated widely on social media platforms, prompting comprehensive inspections.

The incidents highlighted Alanya’s increased focus on tourist safety. Safari excursions are a very popular activity, attracting many visitors to experience the region’s beautiful landscapes. Authorities stressed that such unsafe practices expose passengers to unnecessary risks and could lead to serious accidents, particularly on challenging roads.

The fines send a clear signal that violations of traffic and safety regulations will have consequences. For both tourists and residents, it is crucial to choose reputable and licensed tour operators who adhere to all local safety regulations and have necessary insurance in place, ensuring a high level of safety for all exploring Alanya’s surroundings.
