Gendarmerie Search and Rescue (JAK) teams, operating under the Gendarmerie General Command, performed a spectacular demonstration in Alanya, located in Antalya province. The teams rappelled 33 meters from the historic Kızılkule, also known as the Red Tower, which overlooks Alanya’s harbour. During the manoeuvre, the gendarmerie personnel displayed a large Turkish flag and a gendarmerie banner, marking the Gendarmerie’s 187th founding anniversary.

The public event showcased the gendarmerie’s professional skills and equipment, drawing significant applause from onlookers as the teams landed safely. Such demonstrations are designed to strengthen community ties and offer both residents and visitors insight into the region’s public services and the capabilities of its security forces.

Kızılkule, a prominent historical landmark and popular tourist attraction, frequently serves as a backdrop for cultural events, highlighting Alanya’s dynamic character.
