Antalya Airport Launches New On-Site Judicial Service Unit
The Ministry of Justice has launched a new “Adliye Ek Hizmet Birimi” (Judiciary Additional Service Unit) at Antalya Airport, marking the first implementation of such a service in Turkey. This initiative aims to streamline the handling of administrative and legal matters for travelers, which previously required visits to courts or other state offices located away from the airport.
The service is particularly relevant for international passengers, including Nordic citizens and foreign residents in the Antalya and Alanya regions, who might otherwise face issues at border control due to unresolved legal situations. It allows individuals with arrest warrants or travel bans to clarify their legal status, complete necessary payments, or submit documentation directly at the airport, thereby preventing travel delays or denials of exit from the country.
This move is part of a broader government effort to modernise public services and enhance accessibility. By enabling on-the-spot resolution of legal hurdles, the new unit significantly improves the travel experience, offering greater security and efficiency for all departing passengers, especially tourists and residents in the popular coastal areas.
