Antalya Airport to introduce new tourist reception system from July 2026

Antalya Airport, one of Turkey’s busiest gateways for international tourists, is set to introduce a significant change in how organised travellers are greeted upon arrival.

From 31 July 2026, the existing system for meeting tourists will be replaced by a new arrangement.

This change is of great importance to anyone planning a package holiday to this popular holiday destination.

The key feature of the new system is that tour operators and local welcoming agencies will no longer be permitted to use signs displaying company names and logos to identify themselves.

Instead, arriving tourists will be directed to specific meeting points marked with letters. This restructuring could potentially have a significant impact on the arrival experience for travellers.

Previously, tourists could easily look for the name of their tour operator or a familiar logo on the sign held by the waiting representative.

With the new system, travellers must instead be prepared to look for a designated letter to locate their meeting point.

This will require clear communication from tour operators prior to departure to avoid confusion.

Antalya serves as a central hub for tourism and is particularly popular among Nordic travellers and other European visitors.

Thousands of tourists arrive at the airport every day during the high season.

A streamlined and efficient reception system is essential for a positive start to a holiday, and any change may require adjustment from both tour operators and travellers. For travellers who have booked or are planning trips to Antalya with arrival dates from the end of July 2026 onwards, it is essential to be aware of these changes.

Ensure that you check with your tour operator or package holiday provider for specific instructions regarding where and how you should meet your representative upon arrival at Antalya Airport.

Being well-informed will contribute to a smoother transition and a more comfortable start to your holiday.
