Antalya Leads Turkish Provinces in Population Growth, Migration

New figures from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) reveal that Antalya now leads among Turkish provinces in population growth and migration. The province recorded an impressive growth rate of 20.21 per mille, distinguishing itself while 15 other provinces experienced a decline in inhabitants.

This rapid population increase solidifies Antalya’s position as an attractive destination for both domestic and international migrants, including regions like Alanya. However, it also brings significant implications, including increased demand for housing, which can affect rental prices and property values. The surge in residents places additional pressure on the city’s infrastructure and public services, such as road networks, public transport, and healthcare.

For tourists, an expanding population can mean more vibrancy but also potentially increased crowding at popular attractions and beaches, particularly during peak seasons. Despite these challenges, Antalya, including Alanya, maintains its appeal due to its mild climate, beautiful beaches, and rich cultural life, continuing to draw new residents and visitors from diverse backgrounds.
