Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Improves Road Safety with Extensive Upgrades
Antalya Metropolitan Municipality has carried out extensive upgrades to road infrastructure throughout the region, including districts such as Alanya.
A total of 1,347 traffic signs and 57 road junctions have been renewed in both the city centre and various districts, with a special emphasis placed on school zones.
This initiative, which was completed ahead of the start of the 2026–2027 academic year, is crucial for strengthening traffic safety for permanent residents, tourists, and visitors in the Alanya and Antalya regions. The work, carried out by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, focused on modernising vital road infrastructure.
The renewal of the traffic signs and intersections is intended to ensure better visibility and clearer guidance for both motorists and pedestrians.
The selected areas include both Antalya' s city centre and the surrounding districts, where improved road safety is a top priority. These upgrades are particularly targeted at school areas, highlighting the municipality' s commitment to protecting the youngest road users.
