Bodrum Hotel Association Disputes Report on High Holiday Costs

The Bodrum Hotel Association (BODER) has publicly disputed a news article published by Gazete Oksijen. The report claimed that the cost of a holiday in Bodrum amounted to 386,000 Turkish Lira, a figure BODER states requires thorough documentation to prevent misunderstandings in the tourism market.

The association has formally requested that Gazete Oksijen clarify the data sources used in the report. BODER also seeks a detailed explanation of the calculation method that led to the stated price and the criteria used for any comparisons.

BODER emphasises that transparency in price calculations is crucial for maintaining trust in the tourism industry. An unsubstantiated holiday price of 386,000 TL could create an unrealistic perception of costs and potentially deter visitors, including international tourists, from choosing Bodrum as a destination.
