Gazipaşa increases motorcycle parking and warns of fines

The municipality of Gazipaşa, located in the Antalya region, has recently expanded the number of parking spaces available for motorcycles and motorised bicycles in the town centre.

At the same time, traffic enforcement officers are now warning motorcyclists against parking on pavements, emphasising that breaches of these rules will result in legal action and fines in the near future.

This change is significant for both tourists and permanent residents who travel within the region. The background for this measure is a desire to improve traffic flow and safety for pedestrians in the town.

By increasing the number of official parking areas, the municipality hopes to reduce illegal parking and ensure that footpaths remain clear and accessible for everyone.

This contributes to a safer and more organised town centre for both local residents and visitors alike.

For those visiting Gazipaşa, whether on a day trip from nearby Alanya or staying in the area, this means one must be extra vigilant regarding where two-wheeled vehicles are parked.

It is now more important than ever to use only marked parking bays to avoid unpleasant surprises in the form of fines and potential legal proceedings. The municipality' s traffic officers will continue to issue warnings during a transitional period but have clearly signalled that their patience has a limit.

Travellers and local residents are strongly encouraged to take note of the new signs and parking guidelines to avoid potential sanctions and to contribute to a smoother and safer urban experience for everyone in Gazipaşa. Source: Gazete Alanya
