Intensive road works continue in Alanya to improve infrastructure

Alanya Municipality’s Department of Scientific Affairs carried out extensive road works over the weekend of 26 July 2026 in the Kestel and Obaalacami districts.

This initiative is part of the municipality’s ongoing commitment to strengthening transport infrastructure throughout the city, a development that is of direct relevance to permanent residents, tourists, and visitors to the region.

Municipal teams were actively at work across Alanya, focusing on several key areas.

In the Kestel district, surface asphalting work was continued.

Simultaneously, preparations for asphalting were intensified in the Obaalacami district.

Such measures are essential to ensure that roads maintain a high standard and can withstand the significant traffic that characterises a popular destination like Alanya. Continuous road maintenance contributes to a safer and more comfortable travel experience for everyone moving through the region.

Better roads reduce wear and tear on vehicles and improve accessibility, which is particularly important for tourists who rent cars or make use of public transport and taxi services to explore Alanya and its surroundings.

A well-functioning infrastructure is a prerequisite for maintaining Alanya’s attractiveness as a tourist destination.

The work that took place over the weekend of 26 July 2026 underscores the municipality’s dedication to minimising daily disruptions.

By performing parts of the road maintenance at weekends, they avoid the worst traffic peaks of the weekdays.

This is an important consideration for businesses, residents, and visitors, all of whom rely on efficient transport routes. These infrastructure projects are not merely short-term repairs, but part of a long-term plan for urban development.

By investing in the roads, Alanya Municipality ensures that the city can handle the growth in both population and tourism.

It helps to maintain the region’s high standard of living and attractiveness as a place to live, visit, and invest.

For tourists and foreign residents, this signifies a future with smoother and safer roads, which simplifies journeys to beaches, historic sites, restaurants, and other attractions.

Although minor temporary disruptions may occur during the work itself, the long-term benefits are significant in ensuring a trouble-free experience in the Alanya region.
