Istanbul hosts major trade summit with global business leaders and ministers

Istanbul has opened its doors for the ACE BPSC 2026 summit, an event that underscores Turkey’s ambition to play a central role in shaping the future of the global trade landscape.

The summit, held under the auspices of the Turkish Ministry of Trade and led by the Turkish-American Business Association (TABA-AmCham), has attracted significant international attention and a wide array of influential participants. Among the prominent attendees are the Turkish Minister of Trade, Professor Dr. Ömer Bolat, and the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacır.

Their presence highlights the Turkish government' s commitment to advancing the country’s economic interests on the international stage.

Furthermore, the summit brings together 70 leaders from American Chambers of Commerce (AmCham) from 30 different countries, alongside 250 global chief executive officers. The objective of the ACE BPSC 2026 summit is to map out the " new routes" for world trade.

This involves strategic discussions regarding logistics, supply chains, trade agreements, and investment opportunities in an increasingly interconnected global economy.

The selection of Istanbul as the host city reflects the growing importance of both the city and Turkey as a geographical and economic nexus between Europe, Asia, and Africa. For Turkey, the summit represents a unique platform to strengthen its position as an attractive destination for foreign investment and a reliable trading partner.

The presence of so many global top executives provides Turkish companies with an unparalleled opportunity to forge connections, explore partnerships, and potentially increase exports.

The discussions held during the summit could lead to concrete agreements and projects that stimulate growth across various sectors of the Turkish economy. The active participation of Turkish ministers demonstrates the government’s strategy for economic diplomacy, where dialogue with international business leaders and trade organisations is deemed critical.

By facilitating such meetings, Turkey seeks to improve its investment climate and demonstrate its commitment to transparency and collaboration.

TABA-AmCham, as the host organisation, plays a key role in building bridges between Turkish and American business interests, though the scope of the event extends far beyond this bilateral relationship. The impact of the summit is expected to be long-lasting, with the potential to influence everything from infrastructure projects to technological innovations within Turkey.

By attracting global decision-makers to Istanbul, Turkey is signalling its willingness to be an active and influential player in shaping future international trade policy and economic cooperation.

This is essential for the country’s economic stability and its ability to integrate further into global supply chains.
