New Road Signs Installed Across Rural Alanya to Boost Navigation…
Alanya Municipality is implementing a project to install new road signs throughout its rural areas, utilising its own resources for efficient and cost-effective implementation. The initiative aims to simplify transport and enhance accessibility for both residents and visitors, improving infrastructure beyond the city centre.
So far, road sign installations have been completed in 60 rural neighbourhoods across Alanya. Additionally, extensive location work has been carried out for 80 ‘yayla’ or highland areas. These efforts will make lesser-known settlements and scenic natural areas easier to find and explore.
The improved signage is expected to significantly benefit tourists, including Nordic readers and foreign residents, by offering clearer and safer navigation off established routes. This opens new opportunities for exploring Alanya’s rich cultural landscapes and natural beauty, such as villages, waterfalls, and mountain areas, encouraging local tourism and a more enriching experience beyond sun and sand.
