Warning against delaying holiday bookings: Prices could rise by 20,000 TL
Travellers planning a holiday to Turkey have received a clear warning from the travel industry: do not wait too long to book.
According to Özlem Karaer, a prominent member of TÜRSAB, the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies, delaying bookings can lead to significantly higher costs.
Karaer points out that, in recent years, there has been a widespread belief among holidaymakers that cheaper trips can be found closer to the season.
However, she emphasises that this assumption is misleading and could prove costly for travellers. Actual industry data shows that the prices of holiday packages have increased markedly once the early booking period has ended.
Some of these price hikes have been as high as 20,000 Turkish Lira, a substantial sum even when converted into other currencies.
This means that those hoping to save money by waiting for last-minute offers risk having to pay more for the exact same holiday.
The current trend suggests that as capacity is filled, rising demand drives prices upwards as the high season approaches.
For travellers considering a trip to Turkey, the advice is therefore clear: to secure the best prices and avoid unforeseen expenses, it is recommended that bookings are made well in advance.
This is particularly important for popular destinations such as Antalya, Alanya, or Istanbul.
