Wyndham aims for 150 hotels in Turkey by the end of 2026

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, one of the world' s largest hotel chains, has presented an extensive expansion plan for Turkey.

The goal is to increase the number of hotels in the country to 150 by the end of 2026.

This strategic move was announced during a press conference in Istanbul and marks a significant commitment to one of Europe' s most popular holiday destinations. During the presentation, which was attended by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts' EMEA President Dimitris Manikis and Turkey Director Arcan Bayraktaroğlu, it was stated that the company plans to open a further 12 hotels within the current year.

This will bring the total number of Wyndham-operated hotels in Turkey up from the current 138 to 150, providing travellers with a wider range of accommodation options across the entire country. For tourists, foreign residents and anyone planning a trip to Turkey, this expansion means increased availability and a more varied selection of hotels.

With several Wyndham brands ranging from the economy class to the luxury segment, travellers will be able to find options that suit various budgets and preferences, whether they are looking for city breaks in Istanbul, beach holidays in Antalya, or cultural experiences in other regions.

Such a significant increase in capacity from an international chain may also contribute to increased competition in the hotel market, which could potentially benefit consumers through more competitive pricing.

This strengthens Turkey' s position as an attractive travel destination and ensures that the country' s tourism infrastructure can meet the growing demand from visitors, including Nordic travellers. The expansion will make it easier to find reliable accommodation with international standards across a broader geographical area.

For those who prefer familiar brands and consistent service quality, Wyndham' s expansion provides a sense of security and predictability that is valuable when planning travel.

Whether for business trips, family holidays or solo adventures, more hotels under a recognised umbrella will simplify the booking process and the selection of accommodation.

Overall, Wyndham' s investment represents a positive development for Turkey' s tourism sector and a clear advantage for the individual traveller.

With more hotels in the portfolio, one can expect better availability, greater flexibility and a wider range of accommodation options when planning a future trip to Turkey in the coming years.
