Turkey Denies Claims of Selling State Defence Firm ASELSAN to US…
Turkey’s Directorate of Communications (DMM) has issued a clear statement, refuting claims that the state-owned defence industry company ASELSAN is to be sold to a US-based company.
The claims, which circulated on social media platforms and in some media outlets, prompted the DMM to issue an official rejection to correct the misinformation. In its announcement, the DMM stated that the sale or transfer of such a strategic national asset to a foreign company is “ruled out,” asserting that these allegations are baseless.
ASELSAN is considered a cornerstone of Turkey’s indigenous defence industry capabilities, playing a crucial role in the country’s defence strategy. As a strategic national asset, the company is central to developing military technology and equipment vital for Turkey’s independence and national security.
